Clinton Gähwiler is an English-speaking psychologist in St. Gallen, Switzerland. He is registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa. From 1995 – 2022 he headed up the Psychology Practice of the Sports Science Institute of South Africa, in Newlands, Cape Town. Since February 2023, he is consulting privately from St. Gallen in Switzerland (both online & in-person), and working part-time at the renowned Burnout Clinic Clinica Holistica Engiadina.
His style of work is typically practical and solution-focused, with the aim of fostering the client’s independence through a collaborative process of discovery, action and support.
His passion is working with people towards the achievement of their personal bests in health, sport, business and life, and has a special affinity with those who would not normally feel comfortable going to see a psychologist.
On the one hand, Clinton has worked with many professional and elite teams and individual performers in sports and business, but on the other loves working with anyone who might benefit from being gently coaxed outside of their existing comfort zones.
Clinton is married, has 3 children, and juggles his work with a range of interests including writing & performing music with the SAMA-nominated band Flat Stanley, trail running and (don’t laugh!)… table football.
