Clinton Gahwiler is a psychologist, registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa. Since the Sports Science Institute of South Africa opened its doors in 1995, he has headed up its psychology practice.
His style of work is typically practical and solution-focused, with the aim of fostering the client’s independence through a collaborative process of discovery, action and support.
His passion is working with people towards the achievement of their personal bests in health, sport, business and life, and has a special affinity with those who would not normally feel comfortable in going to see a psychologist.
On the one hand, Clinton has worked with many of South Africa’s elite, professional teams and individual performers in sports and business, but on the other loves working with anyone who might benefit from being gently coaxed outside of their existing comfort zones.
Clinton is married, has 3 children, and juggles his work with a range of interests including writing & performing music with SAMA-nominated band Flat Stanley, trail running and (don’t laugh!)… table football.
